  • From the entrance, there is then approximately a 500 yard walk down the driveway to Reception.
  • 303 bus between Worcester & Kidderminster stops in the village of Hartlebury near the village shop, with a 250m down the footpath to the site entrance.
  • From the entrance, there is then approximately a 500 yard walk down the driveway to Reception.
  • As part of our sustainability efforts, visitors arriving by train or bus can receive free wetsuit hire when taking part in activities.
Moving Around The Site

Activities & Water Access

  • If you are unsure, please contact us before booking and we’ll talk it through properly.

  • We have many quieter areas around the site.
  • If necessary, our First Aid Room can be used as a quiet space.
Hidden Disabilities

We recognise that not all disabilities are visible. Visitors with hidden disabilities, sensory sensitivities, anxiety or additional support needs are encouraged to contact us before visiting so we can help make their visit as comfortable as possible.

Carers & Support Visitors
  • Carers and support visitors are very welcome at Lakeside Adventures. If you are unsure whether a participant or supporter requires a ticket for a particular activity, please contact us before booking and we will be happy to advise.
Accessibility in Practice

We regularly welcome visitors with additional needs, disabilities and mobility challenges, as well as SEN schools, community groups and families.

One recent visitor with significant additional needs initially lacked the confidence to participate independently. Following a successful visit, the family later purchased season passes and the young person developed enough confidence to invite a friend to join them at Lakeside.

Stories like this remind us that accessibility is not simply about facilities and infrastructure; it is about helping people feel welcome, supported and able to participate in outdoor activities at their own pace.

This is just one example of how accessibility is about more than physical infrastructure. By taking a flexible and supportive approach, we aim to help visitors build confidence, feel included and enjoy outdoor activities in a way that works for them.

Assistance Dogs
  • Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the site.
  • For safety reasons, assistance dogs are not permitted to enter the water.

Sustainability & Looking After Our Lake

Our Spring-Fed Lake

Lakeside Adventures is a family-run business built around a beautiful spring-fed lake in the heart of Worcestershire.

Protecting the environment around us is incredibly important and influences many of the decisions we make. From encouraging visitors to arrive by public transport to supporting local employment and protecting the wildlife that shares our lake, we aim to balance recreation, tourism and environmental responsibility.

Being located approximately 50 yards from Hartlebury Railway Station allows visitors to reach us without a car. To encourage sustainable travel, visitors arriving by train or bus can claim free wetsuit hire when participating in eligible activities.

Encouraging Greener Travel
  • Hartlebury Railway Station is close to our entrance & the 303 Worcester to Kidderminster bus stops in the village, making us accessible by public transport.
  • Visitors arriving by train or bus can receive free wetsuit hire when taking part in activities.
  • This helps encourage lower-impact travel wherever possible.
Wildlife, Nature & Responsible Tourism
  • Our lake and surrounding areas are shared with local wildlife.
  • Protecting and supporting local wildlife including kingfishers, egrets, cormorants, red kites and a variety of waterfowl species
  • We ask visitors to respect designated areas and help us look after the site.
  • As a family-run business, we want Lakeside Adventures to be enjoyed now while protecting it for future visitors too.

The lake and surrounding areas are home to a variety of wildlife including kingfishers, egrets, cormorants, red kites and numerous waterfowl species. We are committed to maintaining excellent water quality and managing the site responsibly to help preserve this environment for future generations.

Approximately 6% of our visitors currently arrive using public transport, helping to reduce car journeys and supporting more sustainable tourism within Worcestershire.

Supporting the Local Area
  • We are proud to be a Worcestershire family business.
  • We support local employment and bring visitors into the area.
  • Our aim is to offer outdoor recreation that helps people connect with nature while supporting the local visitor economy responsibly.

As a family business employing local people and welcoming visitors from across the Midlands, we are proud to contribute to Worcestershire’s visitor economy while helping people connect with nature through outdoor recreation and wellbeing activities.

We continue to review our facilities and visitor feedback to identify opportunities to improve accessibility and inclusion across the site.
